KSA combines circuit design with engineering services to deliver CompactPCI-compliant solution for manufacturers and developers

(KSA), a leading developer of innovative products for the data communications, telecommunications and interactive/CATV industries, today announced the availability of a stable, robust, compact peripheral component interconnect (CompactPCI) hot swap design, allowing the removal and replacement of circuit boards (i.e. modem cards, network interface cards, management cards) on a communication system’s CompactPCI bus without having to reboot. KSA is a leader in providing a workable solution for this evolving standard.

CompactPCI hot swap capabilities are essential for products used in industries such as telecommunications, data communications, CATV and financial services where mission-critical operations cannot be disrupted to remove or replace a circuit board. Communications companies are being driven to deliver an immediate hot swap solution for these industries. While the communications industry continues to debate a CompactPCI hot swap technology standard, KSA is now providing a working design.
