Kalman Saffran Associates, Inc. (KSA), established in 1978, is a consulting, engineering and product development company specializing in the telecommunications,
data communications and interactive/CATV
industries. Our clients include Cisco Systems, 3COM, Lucent, AT&T, Nortel,
General Instrument, Scientific-Atlanta, as well as PictureTel, Hewlett-Packard,
Motorola, GTE and other leaders in their fields.

KSA has consistently produced products at the leading edge of the technologies in which we are involved. For example, we helped one client, a world leader in telecommunications, to define and implement products for optical voice, video and data transmission which have come to dominate the world market. These first-in-the-world products gained our customer hundreds of millions of dollars in revenues and assured their continuing market leadership.
Similarly, in software, we assisted another client, a leader in the medical electronics field, in bringing the earliest, most advanced 3 million line of code object-oriented, client/server clinical information system to market. We developed custom tools, objects and other building blocks when none existed. Although many of the systems, subsystems and components we have designed and built were "first-ever" (e.g. first MPEG-2 product in the world, subsystems of the first ATM product in the world and AT&T's first SONET product), we have never failed technically on any of the more than 3000 projects we have completed, nor have we ever had to refuse work due to a lack of technical competency in a given area.
